Audience
My audience for the IPhone is mainly targeted to the multi tasking business men. However, there's is also a big audience with teenagers. What business men look for are things or ways to make theirs lives more productive since they have such hectic days. The iPhone provides various tools that assist business men in their everyday lives. For example, the built in GPS can lead them to an important meeting at a place they've never been to or it can help them find a close restaurant that they want to take someone to get lunch. The iPhone can also help them check their bank account to make sure their business or even personal accounts are where they need to be. The iPhone can also assist them with applications such as workouts, how to tie a tie, and games for entertainment while waiting for a meeting. Business men always want to be up to date with the technology. The teens are also a big audience to the iPhone because they Iphone is "cool", and every teen wants to be cool. The Iphone has many applications that teens really don't need or use but it's cool for them. However, there are many applications that can help teens with their everyday lives and even for safety. For example, if a teen gets taken to a party he doesn’t want to be at he can call his parents and tell them exactly where he is with his GPS. Business men consider the iPhone to be very beneficial to their lives because it makes everything easier and these are the direct benefits which lead to higher productivity. With teenagers it affects them socially because if you don’t like the iphone then you’re not consider or cool or up to date and that’s something that teenagers care about a lot.

Thesis
When teenagers get to college it is usually a time when they exploit their freedom and drinking habits. Although I don’t really think underage drinking is a big deal I do feel that drinking and driving is a huge issue here at UCF. This trend is increasing because of students having a car at younger age and because of their ability to “think” that when they drink and drive they drive the same as usual. I know this because I’ve been observing student’s actions after bars and class and drinking and driving is not a big concern for them. Although the law is somewhat strict, I don’t think it’s being effective. Drinking and driving is a concern that not only increases the driver’s chances of getting harmed but also the people that are around them when they drive. Lives are at stake here and this is when I believe that UCF should do something about it.

outlines
Thesis:
I am going to introduce the topic of drinking and driving here at UCF, I will probably give an example of an instance where I was involved with drinking and driving and what happened after that. I believe that there are too many students drinking and driving and even though they do get in trouble with the law I don’t think that’s the right away to approach it.
Part2
I am most likely going to bring up the trend of drinking and driving, this is where I’ll do some research to come up with some numbers as to how many students drink and drive, and why they do it.
Part 3
This is where I will bring up the questions I asked my partner in class. This gives me someone else’s perspective and also their experiences with drinking and driving.
Part 4
This is where I will talk about the consequences of drinking and driving, not only how it affects the driver and people in the car but also how it affects everyone around them. I will also talk about
Part 5
This is where I will talk about possible solutions to the issue, what parents aren’t doing and what they can do, also what the school could do about it. I feel like the school could have a bigger impact as to possible solutions with the issue.

Letter to a friend
Dear Friend,
This letter is to inform you of a major issue going on here at UCF. It is an issue that puts student’s lives at risk every time they do it. Of course I’m talking about drinking and driving. Drinking and driving is becoming a bigger issue with students as they feel that it’s not a big deal. I’ve been observing this by going to clubs and bars and when I left I would look at who was driving and it would be someone that was intoxicated. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I realized how many students were doing this. It wasn’t just one or two; it was mostly everyone at that bar. One of the nights that I had gone out, I went up to one of the intoxicated drivers and I ask him why he was driving, he simply responded saying,” leave me alone dude, I can’t afford a cab”. That’s was when I realized that UCF is not doing much to protect their students. The UCF cops are very strict but I still don’t believe that they influence anyone. The few students that get caught drinking and driving on campus just get a 6 month suspension to their license and no criminal record or DUI. I know this from personal experience. One of my friends got pulled over on campus and he got his license suspended for six months. He blew almost twice as much as the legal limit and he was also underage. After two months he got his license back with no criminal record on his record. Is that going to stop him from drinking and driving? I don’t think so. What about the people around him? Maybe when he first got in trouble they stopped but after a couple of weeks they got right back to it. Drinking and driving not only puts the driver’s life at risk but also the community. I’m not saying that if you drink and drive you are going to go kill someone, you might be driving safe. But, just the fact that drinking and driving vastly increases your chances of getting into an accident should be enough for the intoxicated driver to decide not to drive. You can try to blame their parents for not educating them enough, but most of the time the parents are so gullible and either believe that their underage kids don’t drink, and if they do drink most of them believe that they wouldn’t get under the wheel if they were to drink. Therefore, I believe that the university needs to step up and do something to protect their students. I personally have being involved in a situation where no one could drive from being intoxicated and we couldn’t find a cab or any source of transportation around UCF, what does that force you to do? Drink and drive. Of course, there are those who just say you shouldn’t be drinking in the first place, but the fact that there are so many minors drinking and driving it also puts that person’s life at risk.
Sincerely,
Pablo Quiroga
